Machine Assemblies

"Machine Assemblies" are Machinery and/or “Partly Completed" Machinery assembled to work together arranged and controlled so that they function as an integral whole to achieve the same end.

When the final machine is assembled, the assembly as a whole, must be assessed and must fulfil all the relevant Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR's) required for any “complete” machine. Finally, this “complete” machine (assembly) can be declared compliant and CE Marked or UKCA Marked as appropriate.
