Guarding & Protective Measures - Validation
Health & Safety Compliance Engineering offers independent analysis and validation of your Guarding & Protective Measures for machinery.
The validation process should be started as early as possible in the design stages so that problems can be corrected early whilst they are still relatively easy to correct. Validation of recently installed and existing machinery should be undertaken to ensure that it is complaint, suitable for use and fit for the purpose for which it is being applied and has been correctly installed and is properly used and is properly maintained.
Validation process
Guards and protective devices, designed to
protect against risks arising from hazards, will be reviewed, and assessed, based
on the type of risk, referencing appropriate Standards. These standards will be
referenced with discernment, to take account of the specifics of the machinery, reasonable practicability, and the "state of the art".
The validation will be carried out by persons who are independent of the design
